Turbine Generator Maintenance (TGM) is continuously looking for mechanically inclined, highly motivated people to join our team.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The Technical Director reports directly to the Director of Operations and will be directly responsible for all work performed at the job site as well as any work related to the project.



Primary Functions:
  • Satisfy our customers through execution of outages in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Manage and direct TGM employees on the job site.
  • Participate as requested in technical sales visits.
  • Conduct outage planning visits and provide required deliverables.


Requisites:

A Technical Director should have at least 5 years staff experience with an end user of turbine generator and associated equipment. He should have a reputation for high quality and on-time completion of project budgets.



Expected Behavior:

The position of Technical Director requires extensive travel by car and/or commercial airline with overtime and weekend work necessary. He should have a neat, well-groomed appearance that reflects the precise work that a customer expects from TGM. His attitude toward both co-workers and customers alike will be respectful and cooperative. The Technical Director should be dedicated to providing a safe and positive work environment. He will be responsible for expenditure of large sums of TGM and customer’s funds.

FOREMEN

The Foreman shall contribute to the successful execution of contracts by leading a qualified crew of mechanics. He will be directly responsible for assigning work and monitoring the progress and quality of all work performed by TGM personnel and its subcontractors. He will have direct contact with many of the customer’s employees and is, therefore, responsible for interacting with them in a way that projects the positive, professional image of TGM. The Foreman will report to the TGM Technical Director on each job.



Requisites:

The Foreman must be experienced in working as a mechanic or millwright with a contractor performing work substantially the same as that performed by TGM. He should have a reputation for performing quality work in a timely manner and should show a tendency toward a leadership role within a crew.



Expected Behavior:

Foremen will be expected to travel extensively either by car or commercial airline. Overtime and weekend work will be necessary. The foreman must be neat and well groomed; an appearance that reflects the precise work the customer expects from TGM. The foreman will work closely with the customers and must at all times handle situations in a respectful and cooperative manner. This attitude must also be present in dealing with co-workers. This employee must be dedicated to providing a safe and positive work environment.

PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Project Coordinator shall be responsible for direct support of the Technical Director, home office and the outage team during Turbine Generator outages. The Project Coordinator shall perform the tasks outlined in the Project Coordinator’s position contract using the guidelines provided. The Project Coordinator shall perform tasks requested by the Technical Director necessary to support the outage.



Primary Functions:
  • Direct support of the Technical Director, Foreman and the home office staff.
  • Establish communications with the customer to meet the customer and the outage team needs.
  • Set up and coordinate local vendors and lodging.
  • Maintain time sheets, purchasing documentation and employee records.
  • Ensure that cost and task reports are prepared daily for the customer.
  • Enter unit data as collected and format for the final report.
  • Support project with supplies, special tooling and equipment as needs arise.


Requisites:

A Project Coordinator should have an outgoing personality with clear, concise communication skills. The Project Coordinator should have a neat and professional appearance to establish and enhance good customer relations. The Project Coordinator should have basic computer knowledge and the ability to prioritize and adjust priorities. A Project Coordinator must be versatile and be willing to travel and remain on location during temporary assignments for extended periods of time. A mechanical and business background is also advantageous.



Expected Behavior:

An individual in this position must be motivated with self-initiative and maintain a “can do” attitude. The Project Coordinator should be able to establish good rapport with the customer and the outage team members. The ability to impress the customer in appearance and organization is a must.
